TVB's 潮爆大狀 is on.
TVB's 潮爆大狀 is on. From memory, it was filmed late last year. My part is very limited but if you'd like to leave a comment about the series, you can do so here ;-)
One thing of interest to those of you learning Cantonese perhaps is that most of my dialog in this series (all three scenes or so) was in Mandarin. One of my scenes where I promised work to the leading lady 唐寧 was not performed very well because I was struggling with the Mandarin dialog. Acting in a second language is quite a challenge. It took me 15 years to get accustomed to acting in Cantonese. Hopefully, it won't take long to do the same in Mandarin.
I wonder if the stock market will fall in the coming weeks? It is said that every time one of 鄭少秋's series is broadcast on television, the stock market falls. It'll be interesting to see if it happens again this time.

Hey Greg! It's always nice to see you on tv, I dunno y but you seemed to enlighten those series in very different ways. It makes it more interesting I have to say. However, TVB should spend more time to think of some names for western actors..... I really don't know why you are always Mr. Smith or Robertson... LOL. Keep up with the good work dude. Take care.

Vince, totally agree after you mentioning about the names that TVB attaches to Greg. Also, there's Mr. Anderson...hey I'm reminded in Matrix, Agent Smith refers Neo to Mr. Anderson. Anyways, I think the producers and script composers only knows these lastnames whereas they are very creative with firstnames to a point where they think they've done a really good job. Like they use a Japanese pinyin name (ie Suki or Yuki) as an English firstname...ha ha. Btw, Greg, hope you don't mind of the following. I was inpired by your previous post, "Hope for a better Asian film/television industry," that I've posted an entry in my blog.

Ha ha ha..........that's funny. About Adam Cheng's "influence" on the stock market. Well, the Cantonese radio program were talking about it a couple of days ago too. But I heard this time round, there was no impact. *phew* for the stock players, I'll say. :-)
And hello Greg. Thanks for having a blog. It's a rare threat to be reading an English blog on HKG entertainment.
Kudos to you on your linguistic skills and of course your acting. You have been doing great! Good job, Greg. Keep it up!

Yikes......I just realised I made a terrible typo in my earlier post.
I meant to write "....it is a rare treat........." and NOT "....it is a rare threat.....". Pardon the error. *blushing*

這次不關股市了......但會否令訴訟個案增加呢?
This time has nothing do with Stock Market....but would it be another Adam Cheng's effect on the law cases?

wow. i didnt noe that Bar Benders was flimed so so long ago. But i have to say, i thought your mandarin was pretty good in the series. haha.
Anyone knows why the english translation of this title is called 'Bar Benders'? sounds so weird..

Henry,
you won't see me again in 潮爆大狀. my part is very short and quick; just a few scenes in Episodes 1 and 2.
Jayce,
'Bar Benders' might possibly refer to 'bar'risters 'bar' who can 'bend' the law for their clients. in the States, lawyers have to pass the 'bar' exam. it might be similar in Hong Kong where I know for a fact that only certain expensive 'barrister' lawyers are allowed to represent people within the courts.

Hey Greg,
I think TVB needs to give you bigger roles!
Btw, my earliest memory of you was a character named "Mark Salzman", or something similar. What series what that?

Hi,
you're right. we finished filming in Jan 2006.
Hing,
I'm not sure. I forget most of the series that I've filmed. it's weird but true.
